Alexander Carpenter, 24 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away from a tragic motorcycle accident on July 04, 2025. He was just six days away from his 25th birthday.
Mr. Carpenter was born July 10, 2000, in Bellevue, Ohio.
Visitation for Alex will be Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will take place after services have been completed.
Alex is survived by his wife of 27 days, Irijiah Carpenter, however they spent 11 1/2 years together and have built love and memories since they were in the 9th grade. Grandparents: Arturo and Gale Espinoza of Hobbs. Eight sisters: Aaliyah Diaz (Emmanuel) of Hobbs. Marie Carpenter, Lennette Gonzales, Priscilla Gonzales, Anisha Carpenter, Sabrina Woodard, Angelica Carpenter, and A'nya Carpenter all of Ohio. Four brothers: Dionte Carter, Devaun Vasquez, Damon Lopez, and A'llijah Carpenter all of Ohio. Great-grandma Amanda Espinoza of Hobbs. Mother: Melissa Diaz. Two aunts: Jennifer Benavidez (Durand) of Ohio and Brianna Benavidez of Tennessee. Uncle: Sebastian Espinoza of Hobbs. Cousins: Azariah Robertson, Royce Robertson, and Rallo Robertson all of Ohio and Armando Espinoza of Hobbs. His in-laws who loved him like their own: Arthur and Tikisha Haynes of Hobbs. Grandparents in-law: Ruben and Beverly Hornsby of Hobbs. Two sister in-laws: Mikaya Hodge (Ian) and Aijinea Haynes all of Hobbs. Brother in-law: Arthur Haynes III of Hobbs. Aunt in-law: Sabrina (Juan) Hornsby of Hobbs. His best friends: Jakob Sanchez and Dayana Carreon. Niece: Sophia Sanchez and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alex was the best "Dog Dad" there is and he will be truly missed by Miss Betty, Princess, Ulfric, Daisy, Peaches, and Burrito.
Alex was preceded in death by great-grandparents: Jay and Betty Dye. Great-grandfather: Arturo "Pops" Espinoza. Brother: Alfonso "AJ" Carpenter. Angel baby Carpenter in 2019. Great-grandmother in law: James Anna Smith.
