Alice Marie Benford, age 69 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on October 25, 2022 in Lovington, New Mexico.

Ms. Benford was born March 24, 1953 to Vernon Mackey and Rosa Meree Lee in Hobbs, New Mexico.

No services are planned at this time and cremation will be taking place at a later date.

Alice is survived by her children; Two daughters; Sherina Alder (Bradley) of Denton, Texas and Alisha Buckler (DeOndria) of Hobbs. Son; Tyler Benford of Hobbs. Four brothers; Vernard Mackey Sr of Mesquite, Texas. Jerry Mackey Sr of Chula Vista, California. Arthur Mackey of Hobbs. Vernon Mackey Jr of San Antonio, Texas.

Seven grandchildren. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her best friends Betty Marshall of Denton, Texas, Cookie Banks of Hobbs. Cindy Wagner of Burnet, Texas and Judy Ennis of Lewisville, Texas. who were all like a sister to her.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; Vernon and Rosa Mackey. Sister; Lula Obanion, Best friends; Karen Mackey and Carol Wingfield.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
