Alma VaNell Smith

Alma VaNell Smith finally had her prayers answered by God on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 to leave her earthly body behind and pass on to everlasting peace. She was  surrounded by her 3 family and friends.

Mrs. Smith was born April 11, 1931, to Henry Elmer McCormick and Georgia England in Wink Texas.  

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Jal Cemetery.

VaNell is survived by her daughter, Rosalyn Smith Randall. Two grandsons; Samuel Smith and Tremaine Floyd. Sister-in-law; Wanda McCormick. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  She was the oldest living of the McCormick family. She now passes that honor on to her 1st Cousin, Calvin McCormick, who is 86.  

VaNell was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ray Smith. Son; Chris Smith, Parents; Elmer and Georgia McCormick, Sister; LaFaye Tadlock, and a brother, Wayland McCormick.  

Services are under the direction of Calvary Funeral Home of Eunice, New Mexico.
