Amoret Moya Obituary

Amoret Grey Moya, age 7, of Eunice, New Mexico passed away on June 26, 2026.

Amoret was born on February 20, 2019, in Seminole, Texas to Leonardo "Leo" Macias and Aylin Moya.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Funeral Home in Eunice, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Eunice, New Mexico with Pastor Dennis Teeter and Pastor Sergio Munoz officiating. Interment will follow at Eunice Cemetery.

Amoret is survived by her loving parents, Leo Macias and Aylin Moya; her sister, Penelope "Jia" Macias; cherished grandparents, Ramon Rios and Maria Lujan, Chris Moya, and Maria Macias, great-grandparents, Alonso Martinez and Estela Lujan and Ramon and Rosa Rios. Aunts and Uncles, Joel "Jojo" and Evelyn Grado, Arturo Olivas, and Julieanna Lujan; great-aunts and great-uncles, Rodolpho Jr. and Claira Ortega, Margoby Lujan, Belinda Herrera, and Chris and Marisol Rios, Trey and wife Marisa Moya; and cousins, Iram Olivas, Eli Olivas, Alyssa Lujan and husband Roberto and their son Miziah, Alexa Lujan, Aaron Ortega and wife Abby and their daughter Amelia, Jacquelin Ortega, Zeke Moya, and Micah Moya. 

Amoret was preceded in death by her paternal great-great-grandparents, Greg and Nora Moya; her maternal great-grandfather, Elias Lujan; and her aunt, Jaime Macias.

Amoret was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Vibrant, cheerful, and blessed with a personality too big for this world, she had a rare ability to bring joy to those around her. She was caring, kind, and sweet, and loved her family fiercely. Amoret enjoyed school and found endless happiness outdoors. Whether she was dancing, playing scientist, or collecting insects, she approached life with curiosity and enthusiasm that touched everyone she met. She was loved deeply and adored by all who knew her. Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will be cherished forever.

In honor of Amoret's vibrant spirit, the family invites those attending her services to wear her favorite color, pink. #Forever7
