Angelina Cruz

Angelina Cruz "Cutie", age 79 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on December 30, 2022 surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Mrs. Cruz was born March 07, 1943 to Jose de la Luz Nevarez and Socorro Oaxaca in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Visitation for Angelina will be Wednesday, January 04, 2023 at Centro de Avivamiento located at 106 W. Broadway St. starting at 4 p.m. and will continue through out the night following into Thursday, January 05, 2023 until 12 p.m. 

Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Jesus Marin officiating. Committal services will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Angelina was married to Joel Cruz and they lived in Hobbs, New Mexico. Together they raised 7 children; Ever Cruz, Joel Cruz, Sergio Cruz, Milka Reza, Aron Cruz, Lupe Cruz, and Angelica Navarette all of Hobbs. Angelina is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children, with whom she created many, many precious memories. 

Angelina was preceded in death by her husband; Joel Cruz. Parents; Jose and Socorro Nevarez. Brother; Hector Maqallanes. Sister; Alicia Maqallanes.

Angelina was passionate about family and quality time spent with her loved ones. She was an avid gardener and knitter. She was known for having a compassionate heart and ear, being a peace-maker, and above all, loving God.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
