Annette Louanna Murphy, “Nettie”, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on December 18, 2024. She was 64 years old.
Nettie was born on September 9, 1960 in Raton, New Mexico.
Visitation for Nettie will be Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Hobbs First Assembly with Pastor Cameron Veazey, Pastor Rob Martinez, and Pastor Ricky Rodriguez officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Nettie is survived by her husband Billy Murphy. Son: Richard Murphy. Daughters: April Murphy (Jon) and Jazmine Murphy. Two sisters: Angie House and Jenny Long (Preston). Brother: Richard Martinez. Granddaughters: Jordan Gauna, Caitlin Morales, and Ariellie Morales. Grandson: Sammy Morales and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many adopted kids.
Nettie was preceded in death by her paternal father: Aquilino Martinez. Mother: Susanna Martinez and her dad, Elmer Smart. One child, two brothers, a sister, and many nieces and nephews.
Annette was the beloved wife of Billy Murphy, with whom she shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, friends and some crazy stories to tell. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Richard, April, and Jazmine who were the light of her life.
Annette will be remembered for her boundless generosity, her unwavering acceptance of others, and the joy she brought to every room with her infectious laughter and spirited personality. Her unique sense of humor and vibrant energy left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.May Annette’s memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspire others to live with the same kindness and joy that she so effortlessly shared with all she knew.
