Antonia Martinez

Jesus Antonia Martinez, age 76 of Lovington, New Mexico passed away May 01, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

Mrs. Martinez was born June 13, 1947 to Arturo Valdez and Tomasa Trevizo in Satevo, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Visitation for Antonia will be Thursday, May 02, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday, May 03, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. both days.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, May 04, 2024 at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Lovington, New Mexico with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Committal burial will follow at the Tatum Cemetery. 

Antonia is survived by her husband of 53 years Claudio Martinez of Lovington, New Mexico. Eight children: Pablo Martinez and wife Maria, Tomas Martinez and wife Johana, Angelica Snyder and husband Nolan all of Lovington, New Mexico. Yolanda Gonzalez and husband Marco of Arlington, Texas. Claudio Martinez of Hobbs, New Mexico. Gracie Cuevas and husband Abel of Haslet, Texas. Socorro Martinez of Kennedale, Texas. Petra Perez and husband Victor of Ft. Worth, Texas. Four siblings, Twenty-One grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren. 

Antonia was preceded in death by her parents Arturo and Tomasa Valdez, Son: Juan Martinez. Brother: Nicolas Valdez. Three grandchildren: Leonidas Perez, Gohan Perez, and Baby Perez. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
