Charles "Charlie" Hazen Jr, age 59 was a longtime resident of Hobbs, New Mexico. He was born on April 30, 1961 to Charles "Chuck" Hazen and Amelia Ann Scott in Andrews, Texas. He is survived by his sister Leona "Kim" Hazen of Colorado City and brother; Howard "Rusty" Hazen of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Three children; Cora Hazen and husband Steve of Clovis, New Mexico, son; Charlie Hazen of Logan, New Mexico and stepdaughter Erishia Woods of Hobbs, New Mexico. Six grandchildren; Rayelynn, Coby, Dylan, Dante, Ty, and Jasmine. One great grandchild; Jaylin. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents. Charlie married Patty Moore Hazen on June 6, 1986. The couple did divorce in 1994 but remained close. He moved to Odessa, Texas in 2005 for work. Later on in 2020 Charlie moved to Clovis to be closer to his daughter Cora. Charlie graduated the Springer Reform School and was a avid volunteer with the Teen Challenge Program. Charlie worked in the oilfield for many years and then went on to work in the family business doing Pest Control, but masonry was his passion. He finally had to retire due to his health issues. Charlie enjoyed his family vacations to the river and loved hiking in the mountains. He made many friends over the years and was often thought of as a jokester. Roses and "green medicine" were his favorite flowers. Charlie will be truly missed by all his family and loved ones.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. at the Pentecostal Temple located at 1404 E Skelly St, Hobbs, New Mexico.
