Cheryl Baxley

Cheryl Ann Baxley, 71 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away October 26, 2025.

Mrs. Baxley was born January 08, 1954, to James and Ann Paschall in Abilene Texas.

In the early 1970’s Cheryl and her family moved to Hobbs from Abilene, Texas where she attended Hobbs High School and received dual credit while also attending beauty school. On December 27, 1972, Cheryl married the love of her life Carl Steven Baxley and they went on to have two boys: Kyle Steven Baxley and Michael Robert Baxley. Not only was she a loving caring mother, she was a beautician in Hobbs for over 30 years, as well as a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority where she enjoyed her sisters, their outings and specially making crafts.

She was the fourth of five children having one brother and three sisters: Jim Paschall (deceased) and wife Sandy, Shelia Randolph and husband Rodney of Crosbyton Texas, Karon Lowe (deceased) and husband Dale of Cleburne Texas, Paula Turner and husband Jack (deceased) of Bryan Texas. 

Cheryl leaves behind her loving husband of almost 53 years, Carl, her two boys, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and friends whom she all loved so much.

A memorial service for Cheryl will be held Saturday, November 08, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home.
