Cruz Salazar

Cruz Maria Salazar, 80, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away April 06, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Mrs. Salazar was born June 07, 1944 to Gregorio Acosta and Maria Carrion in El Paso, Texas. 

Visitation for Cruz will be Wednesday, April 09, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Cruz is survived by her husband of 30 years, Manuel Salazar of Hobbs. Two children: Arturo Salazar and Joann Alba both of Hobbs. Two sisters: Annie Ramirez of Lakewood, California and Martha Maradiada of St. Pedro, California. Brother: Sabino Ramirez of St. Pedro, California. Eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Cruz was preceded in death by her parents Gregorio and Maria Acosta. Two sons: Rudy Salazar and Hector Salazar. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
