Daniel L Huerta

Daniel L. Huerta, age 91 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away September 14, 2023 surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mr. Huerta was born April 23, 1932 to Calletano Loya and Constelacion Huerta in Los Llanos, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Visitation for Daniel will be Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church with Father Joe Pacquing officiating. Committal burial will follow after at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Daniel is survived by his wife of 61 years Maria del Socorro Huerta of Hobbs. 2 sons; Manuel Huerta of Hobbs and Jesus Daniel Huerta of Raton, New Mexico. 3 daughters; Blanca E Perez, Maria del Carmen Benavidez, and Concepcion Huerta all of Hobbs. 3 brothers and 2 sisters. 11 grandchildren; Elaina Orozco, Blanca A. Perez, Lorena Jaquez, and Juanairis Herrera all of Hobbs .Jessica Huerta of Raton, New Mexico, Vanity Huerta of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sergio Perez and Reynaldo Benavidez both of Hobbs. Rigo Benavidez of San Antonio, Texas. Gabriel Mares of Colorado. 26 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Calletano and Constelacion Huerta and a great grandson. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
