Danny Wrighter

Danny Lee Wrighter, age 66 of Lamesa, Texas passed away October 26, 2023 surrounded by his family and loved ones at UMC Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. He was only two days away from his 67th birthday.

Mr. Wrighter was born October 28, 1956 to Jim Willie Wrighter and Evalina Wright in Hobbs, New Mexico. 

Visitation for Danny will be Tuesday, November 07, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Wake will begin at 6 p.m. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 08, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Christ Holy Temple Church with Apostle Wright officiating. Committal services will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Danny is survived by his wife Patricia Johnson-Wrighter of Arizona. Five children; Karessa Hershner of Atlanta, Georgia. Katie Hatton and Jassonae Graham both of Lubbock, Texas. Mercedes Williams and Brad Williams both of Lamesa, Texas. Three sisters; Darlene Wrighter of Mesquite, Texas. Sharon Johnson of Hobbs, New Mexico. Janice Durham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Four brothers; Johnnie Wrighter, Kenneth Johnson and Kerry Johnson all of Hobbs. Cecil Johnson of Midland, Texas. Special Friend; Stella Bolton of Lubbock, Texas. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents Jim Willie and Evalina Wrighter. Two brothers; Bonnie Ray Wrighter and Willie Gene Wrighter. Sister; Sarah Jane Wrighter.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
