Debra Franklin

Debra Franklin, 62, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on November 16, 2021 at Las Cruces Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. 

Mrs. Franklin was born July 26, 1959 to Terry Heckard Sr and Christine Coleman in Winnsboro, Louisiana. 

Visitation for immediate family only will be Wednesday, December 01, 2021 from 4:30 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be December 02, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Word of Life Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Karen Heckard officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Debra is survived by her husband of 45 years; Carl Franklin Sr of Hobbs, New Mexico. Three sons; Carl Franklin Jr, Benny Franklin and Eric Franklin all of Hobbs, New Mexico. One daughter; Latasha Muhammad of Hobbs, New Mexico. Four brothers; Ray Heckard and Tim Heckard both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Wilbert Heckard of Georgia, Atlanta and Dexter Payne of Dallas, Texas and Sixteen grandchildren and five grandchildren. 

Debra was preceded in death by her parents; Terry and Christine. Two daughters; Lakeshia Heckard and Melinda Franklin. Three sisters; Helen Franklin, Theresa Harris and Thelma Howard. One brother; Terry Heckard Jr. One grandson; Kevanzae White Franklin. 

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
