Donald Ray Trice

Donald Ray Trice, 94 of Jal, New Mexico passed away February 16, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Donald was born August 19, 1930 to Ralph and Mabel Trice in Pampa, Texas.

Funeral service for Donald will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Church of Christ with Pastor Daryl Micham officiating. Committal services will follow at the Jal, Cemetery. 

Donald married the love of his life JoBeth Streetman in 1950 and they had four children whom Don is survived by: Steve Trice and wife Linda of Chickasha Oklahoma. Travis Trice and wife Glenda of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Teresa Bentle and husband Billy of Jal, New Mexico. Lynn Trice of Aztec, New Mexico. 9 grandchildren: Justin, Jason, Stacie, Krystal, Chelsea, Missy, Katrina, Casey and Michael. 13 great-grandchildren and 15 nieces and nephews.

Don was the youngest of seven children; who preceded Don in death are his sisters: Mildred, Kathryn, Murrell, and Barbara. Two brothers: Ralph and Calvin.

The Trice family lived in Jal where Don worked for 41 years and retired from El Paso Natural Gas after his decades of service. He was a devout member of Jal Church of Christ and was known for his kindness to offer a helping hand to members of the community, whistling on regular walks around the neighborhood, and was known for his beautiful singing voice, buying, fixing up, and selling vintage trailers and air conditioners. Don was a devoted husband, father, brother, granddad, great-grandad, and uncle will be missed.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
