Ernestine Joan Hodge

Ernestine Joan Hodge, age 91 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on August 16, 2021 at Covenant Medical Center in Hobbs, NM.

Mrs. Hodge was born on September 20, 1929 in Sayre, OK to Wright Mitchel and Willie Williams.

A public visitation will be held on that Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M at Calvary Memorial Chapel. 

Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Ernestine is survived by her son; Forrest Evans, Seven grandchildren: Bernard Evans, Sandra Whitefield-Moody, Tracy Evans, Michael Evans, Marquis Aaron Copeland Evans, Brandon Evans and Eve Evans. Twelve grandchildren and Eleven great grandchildren. Many adored nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces, and nephews.

Ernestine was preceded by parents; Wright and Willie Mitchell. Her spouse; Narva “Sandy” Lee Hodge, Three brothers; Charles Mitchell, Clifford H. Mitchell, and Chester Mitchell, and Three sisters; Mattie B Price, Rubelia Patterson and Alice Carder.
