Ernesto Rangel

Ernesto Rangel, age 56 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away October 22, 2024 at his residence. 

Mr. Rangel was born April 17, 1968 to Juan and Gloria Rangel in Lovington, New Mexico.

Visitation for Ernesto will be Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 5 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Ernesto is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Blanca Rangel of Hobbs. Two children: Blanca Moore and husband Kory and Juan Rangel and wife Ashley all of Hobbs. Mother: Gloria Rangel of Hobbs. Three brothers: Jose Rangel of Sonora, Mexico. Martin Rangel and Juan Rangel both of Hobbs. Three grandchildren: Vance Moore, Zakari Pentac and Ernesto Rangel. Ernesto was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all his loved ones.

Ernesto was preceded in death by his father Juan Rangel.

Ernesto was strong, kind, and he loved with all of his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He leaves behind cherished memories. Ernesto used to always say “It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.”..... Until we meet again, see you later. 

The family of Ernesto would like to invite everyone for a gathering at 104 E Broadway after the committal service.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
