Eugene Aguilar

Eugene Aguilar, 69, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away March 18, 2026, at Covenant Hobbs Hospital. 

Mr. Aguilar was born May 22, 1956, to Eugene Aguilar Sr. and Mary Rodriguez of Hale Center, Texas. 

A memorial service will be held held in honor of Eugene on Friday, April 03, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. 

Eugene is survived by his wife of 33 years: Jackie Aguilar of Hobbs. Mother: Mary Aguilar of Hobbs. Three children: Sondra Rucker and husband David of Hobbs. Tyler Fuentez of Roswell, New Mexico. Bradley Ferguson and wife Jennifer of Oklahoma. Five sisters: Anna Mills of Dallas, Texas. Diane Campbell, Linda Martinez, Susie Rodriguez, and Melissa Aguilar all of Hobbs. Debbie Clifton of Austin, Texas. Two brothers: Robert Aguilar and wife Kim of Denver City, Texas and Peter Aguilar and wife Cynthia of Hobbs. 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his father: Eugene Aguilar and a son: Casey Lee Guy.

Eugene married the love of his life Jackie in 1993. He worked in the oilfield with his father and brother in the 80's then he had a long lasting career shift has a mechanic and eventually entered sales for several truck and auto part stores in Hobbs. Eugene loved his family and friends, playing games, riding motorcycles, and just hanging out. Eugene was resourceful at everything he did in life and was a huge animal lover. Eugene never met a stranger, rather being two legged or four. He will always be remember for his kindness and love he shown to everyone. He will be truly missed by all those who knew him.
