Fermin S Gonzalez

Fermin S. Gonzalez, age 82 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away March 30, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Gonzalez was born November 14, 1939 to Vicente Gonzalez Chacon and Basilisa Sosa Chacon in San Fermin, Durango Mexico.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 04, 2022 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Tuesday, April 05, 2022 from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 P.M. on Monday. 

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, April 05, 2022 at 12 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Vargas officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Fermin is survived by his wife of 52 years; Maria Luisa Gonzalez of Hobbs. Four children; Nancy Berumen, Cynthia Gonzalez, Fermin Gonzalez Jr all of Hobbs and Evelina Berumen of Eunice. Two brothers; Gregorio Gonzalez Sosa and Marcelino Gonzalez de la Cruz. Four sisters; Bertha Gonzalez de la Cruz, Rafaela Gonzalez de la Cruz, Hortencia Gonzalez de la Cruz and Rita Gonzalez de la Cruz. Nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Fermin was preceded in death by his father and step mother; Vicente Gonzalez Chacon and Facunda de la Cruz Hernandez. Mother;  Basilisa Sosa Chacon. Three brothers and two sisters. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
