Fidencio Sosa

Fidencio Sosa, 98 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away March 25, 2026, surrounded by his family and love ones. 

Mr. Sosa was born November 16, 1927, to Ignacio Sosa and Adalberta Dominguez in San Fermin, Durango, Mexico. 

Visitation for Fidencio will be Monday, March 30, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jorge Vargas officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Fidencio is survived by his two children: Jesus Sosa and Esthela Segovia both of Hobbs. 9 grandchildren: Gabriel Sosa, Rey Sosa, Elizabeth Segovia, Analiesia Sosa, Jesus Sosa, Michael Sosa, Maria Cecila Segovia, Lizbeth Sosa, and Jesus Segovia Jr., 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Fidencio was preceded in death by his wife: Rita Sosa. Parents: Ignacio and Adalberta Sosa. 8 brothers and sisters. Son-in-law: Jesus Segovia. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
