Froilan Olivas Sanchez

Froilan Sanchez, 55, of Tatum, New Mexico passed away September 16, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Sanchez was born July 15, 1970, to Socorro Sanchez and Juana Olivas in Artesia, New Mexico. 

Visitation for Froilan will be Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ebenezer Apostolic Church. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ebenezer Apostolic Church with Pastor Cornelio Martinez officiating. Committal burial will follow at the Tatum Cemetery. 

Froilan is survived by his wife of 30 years: Norma Sanchez of Tatum, New Mexico. Two sons: Sebastian Sanchez and Joe Sanchez both of Tatum, New Mexico. Two daughters: Yesenia Sanchez of Tatum, New Mexico and Leslie Borunda of Andrews, Texas. Three sisters: Margarita Sanchez, Luth Sanchez, and Lilia Orrantea all of Tatum, New Mexico. One brother: Thomas Sanchez of Tatum, New Mexico. Four grandchildren: Sophia Borunda, Gabriel Ansel Borunda, and Liam James Borunda all of Andrews, Texas. Anahi Renee Sanchez of Tatum, New Mexico. 

Froilan was preceded in death by both parents: Socorro and Juana Sanchez and a brother: Socorro Sanchez Jr. 

We would like to recognize and give a special thank you for Mr. Froilan Sanchez for serving our community of Lea County for being a volunteer Firefighter and EMT for the town of Tatum. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
