Graciela Segovia

Graciela 'Chela' Velazquez Segovia, 67, passed Sep 21, 2023 at her home in Hobbs, NM with her family by her side.

Mrs. Segovia was born April 20, 1956 to Heriberto Valazquez and Gregoria Puente in Aguascalientes, Mexico. 

Visitation for Graciela will be Monday, September 25, 2023 and Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4 p.m to 8 p.m at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Ambros officiating. Committal services will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.  

Graciela enjoyed traveling back to Mexico often to visit her immediate family and spending time with all of her children and grandchildren in NM while still finding time to have a fulfilled social life and a devotion to Jesus Christ (or church)

Graciela is survived her spouse of 50 years Antonio Segovia. 8 children; Maria Guadalupe Segovia, Ernesto Segovia, Esperanza Segovia, Jessica Segovia, Antonio Segovia Jr., Veronica Segovia, Jesus Segovia, and Joe Segovia. Brother; Jesus Velazquez. 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

Graciela was preceded in death by her parents; Heriberto and Gregoria Velazquez. Son; Carlos Segovia and a sister; Luisa Castanon. 

She will be remembered by her charismatic energy, her laugh, and the abundance of love she held in her heart.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
