Guadalupe Guevara Valdez

Guadalupe Guevara Valdez, age 93 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away August 16, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Valdez was born December 12, 1928 to Pedro Guevara and Juana Valdez in Durango, Mexico. 

Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. 

Chapel services will be held for Guadalupe on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jose Cruz Caudillo officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Guadalupe is survived by his wife of 30 years; Ana Contreras of Hobbs. Nine children; Gilberto Guevara, Guadalupe Guevara, Teobaldo Guevara, and Natividad Guevara all of Commerce City, Colorado. Marcello Zambrano and Marisela Guevara both of Thornton, Colorado. Norma Buendia and Maria Tenorio both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Alicia Luevano of Brighton, Colorado. 40 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. 

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents; Pedro and Juana Valdez. Two siblings. Two sons; Ruben Guevara and Juan Zambrano. One Daughter; Gloria Baeza.  

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
