Gutberto Moreno Obituary

Gutberto Burciaga, 68 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away April 11, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mr. Burciaga was born March 20, 1958, to Pedro Burciaga and Ancieta Moreno in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Gutberto is survived by his six children: Edenis Luna, Yesenia Burciaga, Raquel Mendez, Gutberto Burciaga Jr., and Pedro Burciaga all of Hobbs. Noel Burciaga of Wolfford, Texas. Two brothers: Pedro Burciaga of Andrews, Texas. Genaro Burciaga of Phoenix, Arizona. Five sisters: Socorro Perez, Naty Escobar, Refugio Jurado, and Julieta Alvarado all of Hobbs. Mercecl Burciaga of Andrews, Texas and 21 grandchildren.

Gutberto was preceded in death by his wife: Estefana Burciaga. Parents: Pedro and Ancieta Burciaga. Sister: Martha Bermea and a grandson: Sebastian Burciaga.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
