Hector Salazar

Hector Salazar, age 57 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on September 07, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Salazar was born December 28, 1964 to Manuel Salazar and Cruz Acosta in Hobbs, New Mexico. 

Visitation for Hector will be Friday, September 09, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m.

Graveside services will be Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Hector is survived by his parents; Manuel and Cruz Salazar of Hobbs. Three children; Cori Salazar Jacobo, Mary Lee Salazar, and Steven Salazar all of Hobbs. One sister; JoAnn Alba of Hobbs. Two brothers; Rudy Salazar and Arturo Salazar all of Hobbs. Four grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Hector was preceded in death by his daughter; Anissia Cruz Salazar who passed away in May. 

Hector was a loving son. He was very known in his community. He was phenomenal football player. The eagles won state in 1982 when Hector played and since then, the eagles have not won state. Hector will be very missed by all those who knew him. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
