Henry "Joe" Gomez

Henry Joe Gomez age 51 of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Mr. Gomez was born July 14, 1970 to Henry and Micaela Gomez in Hobbs, New Mexico.

A prayer vigil will recite on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 01, 2021 at 11 A.M at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jorge Vargas officaiting. Cremation will take place directly after.

Joe is survived by his wife of five years; Hope Gomez of Hobbs, New Mexico, Parents; Henry and Mickie Gomez, both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Four sons; Henry Gomez Jr. and wife Kendra of Lubbock, Texas, Johnny Gomez and wife Sonia of Grafenwohr, Germany. Jeremiah Gomez, David Gomez and fiancée Alexis all of Las Cruces, New Mexico, One daughter; Valerie Gomez and fiancée Joey of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Four sisters; Becky Vasquez and husband George of Lubbock, Texas, Rachel Guajardo and husband Danny, Gina Gomez, Jessica Gomez and husband Mike all of Hobbs, New Mexico. Four brothers; Richard Gomez of El Paso, Texas. Mike Vasquez and wife Elva of Coleman, Texas. Bobby Gomez and wife Stefanie and Roy Gomez all of Hobbs, New Mexico. Four granddaughters and one grandson.

Joe is preceded in death by his brother; Rey Gomez.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
