Isabel Acosta

Isabel Acosta, age 94 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on October 31, 2022 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Isabel was 5 days away from her 95th birthday. 

Ms. Acosta was born November 05, 1927 to Cruz Acosta Sr and Pablita Benavidez Acosta in Henry, Nebraska.

Visitation for Ms. Acosta will be Thursday, November 03, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 2:00 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 04, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jorge Vargas la Rosa officiating. Cremation will follow. 

Isabel is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and caretakers, Ricky & Lisa Najera and Nancy Tovar. 

Isabel was preceded in death by her parents; Cruz and Pablita Acosta. Three brothers; Inez Acosta, Rodolfo Acosta, and Cruz Acosta Jr. Four sisters; Ignacia Lozano, Josephina Najera, Susana Rendon, and Flora Lowrey. 

She was very dedicated to her Catholic Faith, prayed religiously daily. Blessed everyone who crossed her path. Was the oldest member of the Guadalupanas from Our Lady of Guadalupe church.  Isabel worked at Tiny Tot nursery for over 30 years, with Mrs. Cleo Pugh.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
