James N. Quevedo

James Neftali Quevedo, age 36 passed away November 15, 2022 at his residence in Hobbs, New Mexico. 

Mr. Quevedo was born September 23, 1986 to Jesus Neftalí Quevedo Sr and Maria Hermelinda Animas in Berwyn, Illinois. 

Visitation for James will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St Helena Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Dominguez officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

James is survived by his wife of 14 years Idali Quevedo of Hobbs. Six children: James Quevedo Jr., Justin Ray Quevedo, Jonathan Rylin Quevedo, Jamey Alexia Quevedo, Jaylynn Jade Quevedo, and Jaydy Janelle Quevedo all of Hobbs. Mother: Maria Quevedo of Hobbs. Five sisters: Guadalupe Miranda of Seminole, Texas. Lynda Quevedo, Amelia Calderon, Marylin Quevedo, and Anahi Quevedo all of Hobbs. Three brothers: Jesus N. Quevedo Jr., Joshua Quevedo, and Julian Quevedo all of Hobbs. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

James was preceded in death by his father Jesus Quevedo. A son; Jeremiah Joseph Quevedo who passed away in 2012. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
