Jerry Harper

Jerry Wayne Harper Sr., age 68 of Eunice, New Mexico passed away June 18, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Harper was born October 15, 1955 to JT and Bonnie Harper in Andrews, Texas. 

Visitation for Jerry will be Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Eunice Assembly of God with Pastor Stew Harper officiating. Burial will be held at the Eunice Cemetery.

Jerry is survived by his wife Connie Harper and their six children: Bubba Harper and wife Rebecca of Eunice, NM. Stew Harper and Wife Jessica of Houston TX. Goo Harper and wife Kandra of Seminole TX. Camilla Harper of Albuquerque, NM. Jasmine Harper  and fiancé, Justin Couch of Eunice, NM. Braxton Harper of Eunice, NM. Daughter in Law: Sonya Smith of Springdale, AR. Three brothers: Ed Harper and wife Linda, Rocky Harper and wife Lisa all of Lovington, NM. Melvin Harper and wife Karen of Roswell, NM. One sister: Lena Woody of San Antonio, TX.  Seventeen grandchildren. Three great grandchildren. Numerous niece and nephews. Numerous foster children. 

Jerry is preceded in death by his father and mother JT and Bonnie Harper. Sister: Sue Willis. Son: Kenny Ray Smith. Brother in law: Chris Woody. 

Jerry was a top notch race car driver, long time firefighter/EMT/ chief of the Eunice Fire Dept. Exceptional dad and loving Poppy! 
He was always eager to have weekend cookouts and feed everyone. Jerry never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him and forever loved.
