Jesus Gaytan

Jesus Gaytan, 82 of Eunice, New Mexico passed away April 11, 2025, at Covenant Hobbs Hospital. 

Mr. Gaytan was born February 05, 1943 to Felix Gaytan and Antonia Venegas in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. 
 

Visitation for Jesus will be Friday, April 11, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Funeral Home in Eunice, New Mexico. A rosary will recite at 6 p.m. 
 

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the St. Claire Catholic Church in Eunice, New Mexico. Committal burial will follow at the Eunice Cemetery. 

Jesus is survived by his wife of 63 years, Felipa Gaytan of Eunice. Four sons: Heriberto Gaytan of Kermit, Texas. Gabriel Gaytan of Eunice. Juan Gaytan of Odessa. Texas. Maximo Gaytan of Lovington, New Mexico. One daughter: Erica Jones of Eunice, New Mexico. Eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. 
 

Jesus was preceded in death by both parents, Felix and Antonia Gaytan. Daughter: Andrea Gaytan. Son: Jesus Gaytan Jr. Three brothers: Augustin Gaytan, Pedro Gaytan, and Juan Gaytan. Three sisters: Juana Gaytan, Juventina Gaytan, and Santos Gaytan. 
 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
