Jesus Miguel Molina

Jesus Miguel Molina, 80 of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away on December 22, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mr. Molina was born on November 10, 1945, to Telesforo Molina and Agustina Jurado in El Salitre, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Visitation for Jesus will be Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 8p.m. A prayer vigil will be held at 6 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Oneke officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Miguel is survived by his wife, Leonides Molina of Hobbs. Seven children: Michael Molina and wife Sorangel and Dorivel Chavez and husband Lenin, all of Hobbs. Luis Manuel Molina and Asucena Molina both of Kansas City, Missouri. Lori Molina and Erika Suarez both of Kansas City, Kansas. Brother: Pablo Molina and wife Maria of Cuauhtemoc, Mexico. Three sisters: Maria de Refugio Moreno of El Tule, Mexico. Ludivina Sánchez de El Terrero, México. Agustina Gutierrez of Aldama, Mexico. Grandchildren: Carl Molina, Marisa N. Oseguera, Maricela Molina, Treasure Fernandez, Lenin Chávez Jr., Alexa Y. Suarez, Kate-Linn Molina, Ángel Gabriel Chávez, Michael Molina Jr., Amaya Molina, Diana "Chiplona" Molina, Arianna Molina, Nia Campos, Jazleen A. Suarez, Cayson Cano, and Alejandra "AJ" Chávez.. Following ten great-grandchildren. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Miguel was preceded in death by his parents, Telesforo and Agustina Molina. Two brothers: Luis Molina and Epifano Molina. Three sisters: Luzmila Sanchez, Carmides Gutierrez, and Guadalupe Medina. Grandson: Izak Chavez.

Miguel embraced life with an open heart and an unforgettable spirit. His family will forever cherish the memory of an amazing, charismatic, and deeply loving man who brought joy wherever he went. Miguel raised his children with strong values rooted in love, respect, and integrity, values they have proudly passed on to their own children. His legacy lives on through generations, a testament to the way he lived and loved. There was never a dull moment around Jesus. His grandchildren adored him, seeing him as both a saint and a legendary charmer, a reflection of his larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. Even during difficult times, Jesus lived life fully and unapologetically. When placed in arehabilitation center, he would jokingly ask his family why he was surrounded by “old people,” only to be reminded—much to his disbelief—that he was one of them. His jokes were famously terrible, yet somehow they always made everyone laugh. Miguel was a passionate storyteller and a lover of history. If you spent any time with him, you were sure to hear stories—especially about Pancho Villa, whom he admired greatly. He was also a part of history himself. While living in Kansas, Miguel worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and showed extraordinary compassion by bringing immigrants home, feeding and clothing them, and making sure they had a safe place to go. His kindness and generosity reflected the goodness of his soul. Those who loved Miguel will never forget his love for coffee—there was always another cup—and his joy for singing. His voice, like his presence, will always echo in the hearts of those who knew him. Above all, Miguels greatest passion was his ranch. He found peace and purpose in raising livestock, tending his garden, trick roping, driving his tractor, and riding his horses. The ranch he loved so dearly will continue to be a place of remembrance, filled with stories, laughter, and love. Jesus was deeply loved and will never be forgotten. His life, his laughter, and his legacy will forever live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.

El Sr. Molina nació el 10 de noviembre del 1945, hijo de Telesforo Molina y Agustina Jurado en El Salitre, Chihuahua, México.

El velorio de Migue se llevará a cabo el sábado 27 de diciembre del 2025, de 2 p.m. a 8 p.m. en la Funeraria Calvary Memorial. El velorio continuará el domingo 28 de diciembre del 2025, de 2 p.m. a 8 p.m. Se realizará un rosario a las 6 p.m.

La misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará el lunes 29 de diciembre del 2025, a las 11 a.m. en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, oficiada por el Padre Oneke. El sepelio se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

A Miguel le sobreviven su esposa Leonides Molina de Hobbs. Seis hijos: Michael Molina y su esposa Sorangel, Dorivel Chávez y su esposo Lenin, todos de Hobbs. Luis Manuel Molina y Asucena Molina, ambos de Kansas City, Missouri, Lori Molina y Erika Suárez, ambas de Kansas City, Kansas. Un hermano: Pablo Molina de Cuauhtémoc, Chih. Tres hermanas: María de Refugio Moreno de El Tule, Chih. Ludivina Sánchez de El Terrero, Chih. Agustina Gutiérrezde Aldama, Chih. Nietos: Carl Molina, Marisa N. Oseguera, Maricela Molina, Treasure Fernandez, Lenin Chávez Jr., Alexa Y. Suarez, Kate-Linn Molina, Ángel G. Chávez, Michael Molina Jr.,Amaya Molina, Diana "Chiplona" Molina, Arianna Molina, Nia Campos, Jazleen A. Suarez, Cayson Cano y Alejandra "AJ" Chávez. Además de diez bisnietos. Numerosos primos, sobrinos, sobrinas y ahijados.

A Miguel le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Telesforo y Agustina Molina. Sus hermanos: Luis Molina, Epifano Molina, Luzmila Sánchez, Carmides Gutiérrez y Guadalupe Medina y un nieto Izak Chávez.

Miguel abrazó la vida con un corazón abierto y un espíritu inolvidable un hombre increíble, carismático y profundamente amoroso que brindó alegría dondequiera que iba. Miguel crió a sus hijos con valores sólidos, amor, respeto y integridad, valores que ellos han transmitido con orgullo a sus propios hijos. Su legado perdura a través de las generaciones, un testimonio de la forma en que vivió y amó. Nunca hubo un momento aburrido alrededor de él. Sus nietos lo adoraban con un amor eterno, era un cómico alcahuete un reflejo de su personalidad carismática y siempre con un buen sentido del humor. Incluso en los momentos difíciles, vivió la vida plenamente y sin remordimientos. Cuando se le mencionaba sobre de ancianos, bromeaba preguntandole a su familia por qué uno se dirija hacia el como un anciano “si el no era un anciano” solo para tener que le recordarle que él también lo era. Sus chistes sin chiste famosos eran legendarios, pero de alguna manera siempre hacían reír a todos. Miguel era un narrador apasionado y un amante de la historia mexicana. Si te dabas tiempo a convivir con él, de seguro que escuchabas sus historias, especialmente sobre Pancho Villa, al cual admiraba mucho de igual manera quien formó parte de la historia mexicana. Cuando vivió en Kansas, Miguel trabajó para el ferrocarril Union Pacific. El mostró una compasión extraordinaria al llevar a inmigrantes a su casa, para alimentarlos, vestirlos y asegurarse de que tuvieran un lugar seguro a donde ir. Su bondad y generosidad reflejaban la nobleza de su alma. Quienes amaron a Miguel no se les olvidará el amor que tuvo por el café cual nunca le faltaba y su alegría por cantar. Su voz, al igual que su presencia, resonará siempre en los corazones de quienes lo conocieron. Sobre todo, la mayor pasión de el era su rancho. En su rancho encontraba paz y propósito al criar sus animales, cultivando su jardín, lazando, trabajando en su tractor y montar a caballo. El rancho que tanto amaba seguirá siendo un lugar de recuerdo, lleno de historias, risas y amor. Jesús fue profundamente amado y nunca será olvidado.
