Johnny Ray Wrighter

Johnny Ray Wrighter, age 76 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away December 11, 2024 at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Wrighter was born May 23, 1948 to Jim Wrighter and Evelyn Wright in Waco, Texas. 

Visitation for Johnny will be Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held on December 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Gibson officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Johnny is survived by his wife of 52 years Patsy Wrighter of Hobbs. Son: Patrick Wrighter of Hobbs. Three brothers: Kenneth Johnson and Kerry Johnson both of Hobbs. Cecil Johnson of Midland, Texas. Three sisters: Janice Durham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Darlene Wrighter of Mesquite, Texas. Sharon Johnson of Hobbs, New Mexico. Three grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Evelyn Wrighter. Three brothers: Bonnie Ray Wrighter, Danny Wrighter, and Gene Wrighter. Sister: Sara Wrighter. Nephew: Jerry Wrighter.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
