Jose Avila

Jose Avila, age 48 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on September 21, 2021 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Mr. Avila was born January 07, 1973 to Melquiades Avila and Maria Lazos in Las Nieves, Durango, Mexico. 

Visitation for Jose will begin Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. 

Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Helena Catholic Church on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Jose is survived by his wife of 27 years; Maria Avila of Hobbs, New Mexico. Parents; Melquiades and Maria Avila both of Hobbs, New, Mexico. Two sons; Sergio Avila and wife; Pamela and Julio Avila all from Hobbs, New Mexico. One daughter; Thalia Montes and husband Marco both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Three sisters; Guadalupe Avila and Aracely Saenz both of Hobbs, New Mexico and Lucy Garcia of Lake Arrow Head, California. One brother; Modesto Avila of Hobbs, New Mexico. Three grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
