Jose Castillo, age 77 of Kermit, Texas passed away surrounded by his family and loved ones on Sunday, July 04, 2021 in Kermit, Texas. 
Mr. Castillo was born on October, 17, 1943 in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico to Jose Castillo Sr and Amalia Saavedra. 
Visitation for Jose was on Wednesday, July 07, 2021 at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice, New Mexico from 4 to 8 p.m. Rosary was at 6 p.m. 
Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday July 08, 2021 at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice, New Mexico at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Victor Ceron officiating. Committal burial followed to the Eunice Cemetery. 
Jose is survived by his 6 children; Sons: Ascencion Castillo of Eunice, New Mexico and Victor Castillo of Ojnaga, Chihuahua. Daughters; Susana Garcia and Rosa Castillo both of Kermit, Texas, Olga Castillo of Denver City, Texas and Cristina Armendariz of Hobbs, New Mexico. Three sisters; Maria Saavedra, Catalina Saavedra, and Silvia Saavedra all of Mexico. Four brothers; Matias Saavedra, Jesus Saavedra, Juan Saavedra and Santiago Saavedra all of Mexico. Twenty grandchildren and Seventeen great grandchildren. 
Jose was preceded in death by his wife; Consuelo Cadena Nuncio. 
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Calvary Funeral Home of Eunice, New Mexico.
