Jose Segovia

Jose Isabel Segovia, age 67 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on April 22, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Mr. Segovia was born on August 09, 1954 to Benito Segovia and Guadalupe Lomeli in Aguas Calientes, Zacatecus Mexico.

 Visitation will be Thursday April 28, 2022 from 4 till 8 p.m. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday April 29, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hobbs, New Mexico. With Father Jorge Vargas Officiating. Cremation will be taking place at a later date. 

Mr. Segovia is survived by his two children; Crystal Segovia from Pampa, Texas and Isabell Segovia of Hobbs, New Mexico.  Five sisters; Maria Segovia, Amelia Segovia, Chona Amelia, Teresia Segovia and Mantina Segovia. Four bothers; Anotonio Segovia, Luis Segovia, Benito Segovia and Chuy Segovia, Numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Segovia was preceded in death by both parents, Benito and Guadalupe. Son; Joan Sebastian Segovia, Sister; Lupe Segovia, Brother; Juan Segovia.

He was proud to be from Mexico. He came into the United States at the age of 19 not knowing the impact he would have on people here in the United States. He was proud to say he lived a long fulfilled life. Isabel was a hard working man who hated to miss a day of work even until the very end.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
