Juan "John" Rodriguez

Juan “John” Rodriguez Jr, age 75 of Hobbs, New Mexico died on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Covenant Health Center in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by his family and loved ones.

John was born on October 4, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Juan Rodriguez Sr and Ruby Garza Sanchez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at TA “The Rock” Church. Services will start at 2:00 P.M with Pastor Doroteo Garza Jr officiating. Cremation will take place at a later date.

Juan “John” Rodriguez Jr, is survived by his mother; Ruby of Hobbs, New Mexico; Two daughters; Glenna Rendon and husband Simon and Loretta Flores and Husband Gabriel all of Hobbs, New Mexico. One son; Ismael Ortega of Greely, Colorado. A granddaughter who he raised as his own; Surenity Mata of Hobbs, New Mexico. Seven sisters; Anita Granger of Clovis, New Mexico, Juanita Gonzales and husband Elpidio of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Carmen Flores of Hobbs, New Mexico, Olga Cuellar and husband Robert of Hobbs, New Mexico, Irma Pena and husband David of Hobbs, New Mexico, Lisa Lechuga of Hobbs, New Mexico and Magda Starnes and husband Dennis of Dallas, Texas. Two brothers; David Lechuga of Hobbs, New Mexico and Carlos Rodriguez of Houston, Texas. Eleven grandchildren and Seventeen great grandchildren. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was so loved and will be truly missed by all.

John was preceded in death by his wife; Virginia Rodriguez who passed away in 2018. His father; Juan Sr., His step father; Eusebio Lechuga. Two brothers; Paul Rodriguez and Arthur “Toodies” Rodriguez and one great grandson; Jose Alex Baeza.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
