Juana Ramirez Terrazas

Juana Terrazas (Momma T), age 68 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away July 01, 2023 in Hobbs, New Mexico.

She was born September 25, 1954 in Las Nieves, Durango, Mexico. Juana was the first child born to Ventura Ramirez and Cleofas Galaviz.

Visitation will be Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4 pm to 8pm at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 1 pm at St. Helena Catholic Church with Father Joe Pacquing officiating. Committal service will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Juana is survived by her husband of 51 years; Ernesto Terrazas of Hobbs. Children; Blasy Terrazas and husband Daniel of Las Nieves, Durango, Mexico, Victor Terrazas of Phoenix, Arizona, Maria Escandon and husband Ruben, Ernesto Terrazas Jr and wife Perla, Gabriel Aranda and husband Luis, and Edwin Terrazas all of Hobbs. Abigail Mercado and husband Braulio of Barney, Georgia. Brothers; Tomas Ramirez of Pomona, California and Delfino Ramírez of Hobbs. Sisters; Maria Terrazas of Pomona, California, Carmen Ramirez, and Isabel Botello both of Hobbs. Moncy Ramirez of Victorville, California, and Licha Ramírez of Phoenix, Arizona. Aunt; Tomasa Santana of Las Nieves, Durango, Mexico, 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, many cousins, nephews, nieces and loving friends.

Juana was preceded in death by her parents; Ventura Ramirez and Cleofas Galaviz and an infant great granddaughter Kimberly Rivera. 

Momma T was a loving mom, wife, grandma, sister, and friend. She loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her delicious food with everyone. She was always ready to have a good conversation with anyone that came across her path. Her sense of humor, bluntness, and funny face expressions will surely be missed.  The Terrazas family greatly appreciates all the support they have received during this difficult time and all the love shown to Momma T. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
