Kevin Cox

In loving memory of Kevin Robert Cox, birthed by his biological mother Misty Cox in Odessa Texas December 29, 2001. Kevin was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Michell and John Davis of Hobbs, New Mexico. Michell and John became his mom and dad, who raised him to be the outstanding, smart, sweet, and most of all the HERO he became as he grew into the young man, we all knew and loved so very much.

Kevin (Pop tart) heroically passed away on July 19, 2024, from an unexpected drowning, while saving two younger loved ones. Even though a tragic moment took him away from this world, his loving heart left a huge impact on all his family, friends, and community. Kevin had a second instinct to help others, and, on this day, he was doing just that.

Kevin will be remembered forever and ever in our hearts and memories by his biological mom: Misty Cox. Mom and Dad: Michell and John Davis. Brothers: Dylynn & Haydynn Davis. Sister: LaZarah Davis. Nana Punkin and Papa Scott Davis and Nana Sonya Davis. Aunt Jeniffer and Uncle Wes Crow, and Uncle Michael Meisenheimer, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Some of the many loved ones proceeded him in death are his great aunt Margret Walton, Papa Jimmy Wilson, Uncle Frankie Kanmore, and Papa John Kimbrough along with many other family, extended family, and friends.

Kevin’s memorial will be held at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home 418 W Bender Blvd, Hobbs NM 88240. On Aug. 3rd 2024 at 5pm CST, with Pastor Brad to officiate.
