Lamont Kinte Williams, age 45 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away March 25, 2024 at Covenant Hobbs Hospital.
Mr. Williams was born March 2, 1979, in Dallas, Texas, to Lee Clark Jackson and Linda Gail Williams. He is the youngest child in a sibling set of three.
Visitation for Lamont will be Friday, April 05, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 06, 2024 at 1 p.m. at New Creation Apostolic Center with Apostle Terrell Wright officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Lamont leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé, LaWona Hall; four daughters, Linda Williams, Erica Williams, and Lakeithia Williams, all of Dallas, Texas, and Brooklyn Williams of Hobbs, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Amsmauel Jacobs, Lazyriah Jacobs, and Trinity Williams; his father, Lee .C Jackson (Regina), one sister, Nakeitha Denise Williams of Dallas; two stepsons, Antwan Brewer (Britney) of Hobbs and Patrick Brewer (Shanielle); and one stepdaughter, Ambrea Mosely of Hobbs; four stepsisters, Jayla Royal, Keyla Royal, Aum'unique Royal, and Dazlynn Royal all of Hobbs, New Mexico; his uncle John Williams of Dallas, Texas; three aunts, Martha A. Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Willie Mae Busher (Elmer) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Rosie .L Jackson of Dallas, Texas. His fiance's children, Anthony Hernandez, Zian Hernandez, and Shaune Franklin; her grandchildren, Camilla and Za'Veah; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lamont was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa; his mother, Linda; his brother, Brandon Lavor Williams; and his grandparents.Lamont was educated in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Madison High School. He played varsity football and earned a scholarship to Mississippi Valley College. Lamont met the love of his life, Lisa Sherrell Hayes Williams, and moved with her to Hobbs, New Mexico, to build a life. They were united ni Holy Matrimony in Lovington,New Mexico, on September 9, 2006. One daughter was born into this union. Lamont has three daughters from a previous relationship with Tuna Duncan.
To his family, he was Kite; to his friends, he was Benta. He had a beautiful and infectious smile and an outgoing and loving spirit. He loved to laugh and bring joy wherever he went. He loved his family and was a proud father. He was well known ni Dallas, Texas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Hobbs, New Mexico. Lamont enjoyed sports, especially football and playing dominoes. He was a die hard San Francisco 49ers fan. He attended First United Methodist Church in Hobbs, N.M. He will be missed and forever loved.
