Lilia Leyva of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away September 11, 2024 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She had just celebrated her 96th birthday. 

Mrs. Leyva was born September 06, 1928 to Francisco Rodriguez and Teresa Leyva in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Services will take place in Mexico at a later date. 

Lilia is survived by her daughter: Martina Romero. Eight grandchildren: Liliana Leyva, Raul Leyva Jr., Jesse Leyva, Guadalupe Rojero, Aylin Villalobos, Blanca Carrasco, and Idiana Carrasco. Ten great-grandchildren: Giovanni Leyva, Aaron Sanchez, Andres Sanchez, Issac Leyva, Vicente Leyva, Adriel Villalobos, Eyden Villalobos, Presley Leyva, Everley Leyva, and David Leyva. Two great-great grandchildren: Itzayanna Leyva and Yaritza Sanchez. 

Lilia was preceded in death by her husband David Leyva. Parents: Francisco and Teresa Rodriguez. Two sons: David Leyva Jr. and Raul Leyva. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.

La Sra. Leyva nació el 6 de septiembre de 1928, hija de Francisco Rodríguez y Teresa Leyva en Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México.
