Linda Taylor Obituary

Linda Elizabeth Taylor, of Eunice, passed away at her home on January 6, 2023.

Linda was born October 24, 1964 in White Settlement, Texas to Marion Leonard Cunningham and Dorothy (Davis) Cunningham, and spent the majority of her childhood in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Linda spent over 30 years of her life in Lea County, and always considered it home.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. at Calvary Funeral Home in Eunice.

Graveside Services will be officiated by Kenneth Reed on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at Brunson Memorial Cemetery in Eunice.

Linda is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Teddy Taylor, of the home; one daughter, Paula Taylor of Kansas City; one son, Michael Taylor of Eunice; one brother, Paul David Cunningham(Tanya); four nieces; Sonya Bustamante (Michael), Kasei Dean (Ryan), Stormy Cunningham (Elisa), and Nikie Cunningham; her father-in-law, Ted Taylor, of Eunice, whom Linda loved as if he were her own dad; and a special cousin, Garrett Davis(Tammy) of Springtown, Texas. We would also like to give a special mention to the Longoria, Garcia, and Ruvalcaba families who Linda considered her family and loved so very much.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Dorothy Cunningham; and her granddaughter, Allison Mae.

Linda was the ultimate caretaker. Whether it was children, the elderly, disabled, or stray animals, Linda was always there offering a helping and loving hand. Linda helped countless people through her acts of service and kindness.

Linda held many jobs throughout her lifetime and was a hard worker but the role Linda took the greatest pride in was that of mother. She devoted her life to her children and loved them deeply. There was never a time when Linda spoke to her children that she didn’t tell them how much she loved them. When her children were growing up. Linda’s home was welcome to all, day and night. She happily fed, clothed, and housed friends and extended family. That was the happiest time in her life.

Linda was a lifelong Christian and loved the Lord. While we mourn the loss of our sweet mama, we rejoice knowing she is with Jesus and has been reunited with all her loved ones, especially her mom whom Linda missed terribly. We will look for her in the rainbows.

Services have been entrusted at Calvary Funeral Home of Eunice, New Mexico.
