Lorina Ordunez

Lorina Pena Medrano Ordunez, age 73, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Monday, August 05, 2024.

Lorina was born on April 30, 1951, to Antonio P. Medrano and Mary Jane Medrano in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

A prayer vigil will recite on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father Juan Carlos Ramirez. Committal burial will follow at the Carlsbad Cemetery. 

Lorina is survived by her three children: Ronald Anthony Ordunez and wife Claudia of El Paso, Texas. Lori Villegas and husband Robert and Rudolfo Ordunez Jr all of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Eight grandchildren: Giordan Ordunez, Giovanny Gines, Bianka Roddick, Mary Villegas, Macayla Villegas, Mariah Villegas, Marcos Villegas, and Aydin Ordunez. One great-grandson, Timothy S. Lopez Jr. Three siblings: Hector Medrano and wife Rita, Nora Munoz and husband Daniel, and Jaime Medrano and wife Peggy all of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lorina was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Mary Jane Medrano. Husband: Rudolfo Ordunez Sr. Sister: Sandra Aguyo.

Lorina had the biggest heart, and always helped those around her. She was a faithful believer and follower of God, and would pray daily. She had an adventurous spirit, and enjoyed traveling. Lorina also enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, baking, making her own wine, planting flowers in her garden, painting, and making crafts. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and helped raise money to send them to college. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
