Maria Del Carmen Gomez

Maria Del Carmen Gomez, 75 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away June 05, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Mrs. Gomez was born November 12, 1949, to Jesus Navarrete and Josefina Valenzuela in El Vado, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Visitation for Maria will be held Saturday, June 07, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Oscar Contreras officiating. Committal services will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Maria is survived by her daughter: Elizabet Contreras and husband Oscar of Hobbs. Son: Julian Gomez of Hobbs. Brother: Refugio Navarrete of Hobbs. Three grandchildren: Gabriela Contreras and Karyme Contreras both of Hobbs. Angelisa Gomez of Lovington, New Mexico. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Maria was preceded in death by her husband: Pedro Gomez. Son: Pedro Gomez Jr. Parents: Jesus and Josefina Navarrete. Three sisters: Concepcion Lujan, Eliza Ramirez, and Olivia Ramirez. Five brothers: Felipe Navarrete, Gilbert Navarrete, Salvador Navarrete, Luis Navarrete, and Manuel Navarrete.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
