Maria Luisa Valeriano

Maria Luisa Lujan Valeriano, age 90 of Jal, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

Mrs. Valeriano was born March 31, 1932, to Juan Lujan and Melquiades Barrera Lujan in Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Funeral Home in Eunice, New Mexico. 

Chapel services will be held for Maria on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Funeral Home with Elio Barrios officiating. Committal burial will follow at Jal Cemetery. 

Maria is survived by her six children; Manuela Mendoza of Hemet, California. Raul Mendoza and wife Carmen of Menifee, California. Sandra Cervantes and husband Lorenzo of Jal, New Mexico. Vicente Valeriano and wife Jenny of Chanhassen, Minnesota. Adrian Valeriano and wife Adelina of Memphis, Tennessee. Veronica Burns and husband Larry.  Three sisters; Otilia Romero of Jal, New Mexico. Stela Valeriano of Chihuahua, Mexico and Elisa Jimenez of Hobbs, New Mexico. Two brothers; Eliseo Lujan and Domingo Lujan. Eighteen grandchildren. Twenty-Six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Maria was preceded in death by her husband; Vicente Valeriano. Parents; Juan and Melquiades Lujan. Sister; Refugio Lujan. Three brothers, Manuel Lujan, Angel Lujan and Dulces Lujan.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Funeral Home of Eunice, New Mexico.
