Mary Rodriguez

Mary Rodriguez, 77 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

Ms. Rodriguez was born September 18, 1948, to Saturnino and Angela Saenz in Hidalgo County, Texas.

Visitation for Mary will be Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. and a eulogy will begin at 7 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 12 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Lovington, New Mexico with Father Sam officiating. Committal burial will follow at the Lovington Cemetery. 

Mary is survived by her six children: Paul Rodriguez and wife Mandi of Costa Rica. Pete Rodriguez and wife Florence, Laura Rodriguez, and Adolfo Rodriguez and wife Amanda all of Hobbs. Nora Robles and husband David of Lovington, New Mexico. Rosemary Bonilla and husband Frank of Odessa, Texas. Four brothers: Joe Saenz of Lovington, New Mexico. Jesse Saenz of Hobbs. Arturo Rodriguez of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Johnny Saenz of Wyoming. Sister: Nellie England of Portales, New Mexico. Twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband: Norberto Rodriguez. Parents: Saturnino and Angela Saenz. Three sisters: Beatrice Saenz, Irma Valdez, and Esmelda Saenz. Two brothers: Ruben Saenz and Homer Saenz and a granddaughter: Katie Rodriguez.

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
