Mary Lou Hurta

Mary Lou Hurta, age 89 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on April 29, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

Mrs. Hurta was born November 24, 1933 to John Seamon Hedgpeth and Mary Morris (Hedgpeth) in Montague, Texas. 

A memorial services will be held in honor of Mary Lou on Saturday, May 06, 2023 at 10 a.m. at New Life Fellowship Church with Pastor Millie Miller officiating. Committal services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Jal Cemetery. 

Mary Lou is survived by her two children; Michael R. Hurta of Blaine Washington and Cyndy Caliendo of Hobbs. Six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two nieces.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband John R. Hurta who passed away in 2003. Parents; John and Mary. Brother; Jack Hedgpeth. Three sisters; Loretta Teague, Judy Young, and Betty Jo Hedgpeth.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Lisa with Star Hospice for the undivided attention and care she provided to Mrs. Hurta during this time.
