Nancy Olivia Corpus, de 81 años, falleció pacíficamente el 8 de Enero de 2025, en el Hospital Covenant de Hobbs, rodeada de su familia y seres queridos.

Nancy nació el 25 de Abril de 1943 hija de Ángel Vega Franco y María Alejandra Ontiveros Ríos en El Pueblito, Chihuahua, México.

El velorio de Nancy se llevará a cabo el Sábado 11 de Enero de 2025 de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. y el Domingo 12 de Enero de 2025 de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en Calvary Memorial Funeral Home en Hobbs. El rosario se rezará el Domingo 12 de Enero de 2025 a las 6:00 p.m.

La misa fúnebre se celebrará el Lunes 13 de Enero de 2025 a las 2:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, con el Diácono Pablo como oficiante. El entierro se llevará a cabo en Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Nancy se graduó como contadora pública certificada en Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México, en 1963. Conoció al amor de su vida, José Rito Corpus, en un baile en la plaza de El Pueblito, Chihuahua, y más tarde se casó con él el 18 de Septiembre de 1965. Juntos construyeron una hermosa vida llena de amor. En 1972, se mudó con su esposo y sus tres hijos a Lovington, Nuevo México, y más tarde se establecieron en Hobbs, donde residió hasta su fallecimiento. Mujer de elegancia, gracia y porte incomparables, Nancy tenía una profunda pasión por la literatura y pasaba incontables horas inmersa en su amor por la lectura. También disfrutaba enormemente de sus novelas turcas, un pasatiempo que valoraba mucho. Más allá de sus intereses intelectuales, fue una esposa, madre, abuela y amiga leal y dedicada. Nancy personificó el amor incondicional hacia su familia, siempre poniendo sus necesidades primero y sirviendo como un pilar de fortaleza, especialmente después de la pérdida de su amado esposo. Su resiliencia durante ese difícil momento fue un testimonio de su fe inquebrantable y su dedicación incondicional a su familia.

Nancy fue miembro dedicada de la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, donde su profunda fe guió su vida e inspiró a quienes la rodeaban. Siempre tendía una mano amiga a quien la necesitara, ofreciendo su apoyo en la salud y en la enfermedad con una gracia tranquila y elegancia constante. Su lealtad y compasión dejaron una marca imborrable en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron.

Nancy le sobrevive su familia: Tres hijos, Jesús Edgar Corpus y su esposa Michelle, Jeannette Corpus, y Judith Alvarado y su esposo Oscar. Cuatro hermanos: Juan Manuel Vega, Víctor Hugo Vega, Jesús Omar Vega y Ángel Elías Vega. Tres hermanas: Hilda Armendáriz, Miriam Vega y Armida Vega. Diez nietos: Alan Corpus, Chelsea Loya, Jay Corpus, Amber Fonseca, Steffani Loya, Cheyenn Corpus, Karla Torres, Nicolás Corpus, Claudia Torres y Bianca Torres. Cinco bisnietos, Jasleen Corpus, Joel Corpus, Liam Loya, Ava Garza y Jarren Garza.

Nancy fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Ángel y María Alejandra Vega. Su esposo: José Rito Corpus, y su hermana: Graciela Vega.

Nancy Olivia Corpus deja un legado de amor, fortaleza y elegancia que permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de quienes la conocieron y amaron.

Nancy Olivia Corpus, 81 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away peacefully on January 08, 2025, at Covenant Hobbs Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

Mrs. Corpus was born April 25, 1943 to Angel Vega Franco and Maria Alejandra Ontiveros Rios in El Pueblito, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Visitation for Nancy will be Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A rosary will recite on Sunday at 6 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, January 13, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Pablo officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. 

Nancy graduated as a certified public accountant from Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico in 1963. She met the love of her life Jose Rito Corpus at a dance plaza in El Pueblito, Chihuahua, Mexico and later married him on September 18, 1965. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and family. In 1972, she moved with her husband and three children to Lovington, New Mexico, later settling in Hobbs where she resided until her passing. A woman of unparalleled elegance, grace, and poise Nancy was deeply passionate about literature and spent countless hours immersed in her love for reading. She also found great joy in her Turkish novelas, a pastime she cherished. Beyond her intellectual pursuits, she was a devoted and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Nancy exemplified unconditional love for her family always putting their needs first and serving as a pillar of strength, particularly after the loss of her beloved husband. Her resilience during that difficult time was a testament to her unshakable faith and her unwavering dedication to her family.

Nancy was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where her strong faith guided her life and inspired those around her. She had a helping hand for anyone in need, offering her support in sickness and health with a quiet grace and steadfast elegance. Her loyalty and compassion left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her three children: Jesus Edgar Corpus and wife Michelle and Jeannette Corpus all of Hobbs, New Mexico. Judith Alvarado and husband Oscar of Grand Prairie, Texas. Four brothers: Juan Manuel Vega of Lovington, New Mexico. Victor Hugo Vega and Jesus Omar Vega both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Angel Elias Vega of Aldama, Mexico. Three sisters: Hilda Armendriz and Miriam Vega both of Hobbs, New Mexico. Armida Vega of Chihuahua, Mexico. Ten grandchildren: Alan Corpus, Chelsea Loya, Jay Corpus, Amber Fonseca, Steffani Loya, Cheyann Corpus, Karla Torres, Nicolas Corpus, Claudia Torres, and Bianca Torres. Five great-grandchildren: Jasleen Corpus, Joel Corpus, Liam Loya, Ava Garza, and Jarren Garza. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: Angel and Maria Alejandra Vega. Husband: Jose Rito Corpus. Sister: Graciela Vega Ontiveros. 

Nancy Olivia Corpus leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and elegance that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
