Paula Luna Baiza

Our Heavenly Father sent his merciful angels to come for His daughter, Paula Luna Baiza, on January 14, 2021.  

She was born on May 2, 1956 in Hobbs NM to Raul and Gregoria Rios Luna who have preceded her in death as well as her sister; Nita Luna-Davis. 

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Jimenez and her sons Dominic Baiza, and Leo Luna (wife Mary Cano Luna), all of Hobbs, NM. She also leaves behind her sister, Mary Pena, her brothers Joe Luna, Louie Luna, and Adam Luna of Hobbs NM. Brothers; Tony Luna, Lupe Luna, Fabian Luna, and Ramon Luna all of Ft. Worth, TX, and sisters; Nora Cabral and Maria Gonzales of California. 

Paula was an active member at New Life Fellowship Church along with her “Gift” of the home, Fernando Martinez.  Together they raised their granddaughter, Yamilexy Heredia as their own child. Her grandchildren also include Nathanyl Baiza, JR Bosquez, Leo Luna Jr., Ezekial Luna, Leanissa Luna, Joshua Quiroz, Azenette Quiroz, Camille Quiroz, and Faye Acosta – all of Hobbs, NM. She was blessed with 11 great grandkids whom she adored and cherished-Joziah, Amaiz, Aviella, Elle, Greyson, Avalyn, “Juice”, Sophia, Jeremih, Aria, and Channing.  In addition to her beloved family she was further blessed with 3 bonus children and 7 bonus grandkids whom she loved. 

Paula cared deeply for her loved ones and would always pray for them all. Her faith and love for the Lord is what she shared with everyone she came in contact with. Paula had a bright and energetic personality and a caring smile that could light up any place she was present and was known for always helping others.

Visitation is Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel; 418 W. Bender Blvd., Hobbs, N.M. from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

Funeral Service will be 11 am Friday, January 22, 2021 at New Life Church; 707 W. Church St., Hobbs, N.M.  

Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery; 2201 E. Stanolind, Hobbs, N.M. 

Facial mask and social distancing is required during visitation and funeral services.
