Pete Palacios, age 71 of Hobbs, New Mexico was called home on September 1st 2022 at UMC in Lubbock, Texas.
Pete aka “papo” was born August 21st ,1951 to Camilio and Benita Palacio in Hillhouse, Mississippi.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 08, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, September 09, 2022 at 2 p.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church with Father Joe Pacquing officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Pete is survived by his beautiful wife Rosie Palacios of 54 years and 4 children; Rene Palacios, Ernest Palacios, Adam (Delma) Palacios and Evalinda Palacios along with 11 grandchildren; Jordan (Samantha) Palacios, Justin Palacios, Ashley Palacios, Michael Palacios, Myra Zamora, Ashaley (Victor) Saldana, Isaiah Palacios, Angel Zamora, Jaida palacios, Estevan Palacios & Elianna Palacios. 8 great grandchildren; Damian, Marci, Mavy, London, Graysen, Alayzah, David, Dalianna. One sister; Francis "Pancha" Edward. Three brothers; Nick Palacios, Joe (Susan) Palacios, and Saforino Palacios including many others close family member that loved him very much.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; Camilo and Benita Palacios. Grandparents; Two sisters; Ramona Soliz and Josephina Lindsey. Three brothers; Mike Palacios, Fred Palacios and Julian Palacios. One grandson; Adam Lorenzo Palacios Jr.
Pete and Rosie have both been a resident of Hobbs since 1973. Pete really enjoyed the outdoors like fishing, bbqing, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Pete and his wife were inseparable, they did absolutely everything together. Pete was a diesel mechanic/welder for 40+ years, as well as a member of F.O.E for 30+ years. Pete had a true passion for doing what he did, throughout his life. Our papo will be truly and deeply missed. A golden heart stopped, hard working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
