Ruth Evelyn Lewis

Ruth Evelyn Lewis, age 91 of Eunice, New Mexico passed away on July 14, 2022. 

Mrs. Lewis was born on July 24, 1930 to Jesse Smith and Viola Miner in Cerrogordo, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Ruth on August 25, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Eunice with Pastor Dennis Teeter officiating. 

Ruth is survived by her children. Sons; Leslie Sutton of Eunice, New Mexico and Bobby Sutton (Betty) El Paso, Texas. Daughters; Joyce Dean (Dillard) of Houston, Texas. Barbara Christopher (Skip) of Hobbs, New Mexico and Patricia Feller (Alan) of Eunice, New Mexico. Ten grandchildren. Eighteen great grandchildren. Four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Ruth was preceded by the love of her life who passed away in 1971; Jack Sutton. Ruth then remarried James Lewis who passed away in 1999. Parents; Jesse and Viola Smith. Two sisters. Three brothers and three grandchildren. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Funeral Home of Eunice, New Mexico.
