Salome Guillen

Salome Guillen, age 74 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away February 13, 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mr. Guillen was born March 29, 1949 to Salome Guillen Sr. and Maria del la Luz Sanchez in Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

Visitation for Salome will be Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer vigil will recite at 6 p.m. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church with Father Joe Pacuqing officiating. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Salome is survived by his six children Analilia Gandara and husband Enrique of Pearsall, Texas. Maria de la Luz Valdez and husband Alonso, Javier Guillen and wife Erica, Humberto Guillen and wife Lucia all of Odessa, Texas. Asusena Hernandez and husband Benjamin of Hobbs, New Mexico. Salome Guillen III and wife Monica of Lovignton, New Mexico. Four sisters; Delma Mendoza and Teresa Navarrette and husband Luis all of Andrews, Texas. Socorro Carmona of Van Horn, Texas. Juana Muro of Hobbs, New Mexico. Fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

Salome was preceded in death by his wife Yolanda Guillen. Son; Eumar Guillen. Four brothers; Lupe Guillen, Enrique Guillen, Jesus Guillen, and Adan Guillen. Sister; Manuela Ojeda. Granddaughter; Isabela Hernandez. Son in law; Marcelino Olivas. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
